Hi my fellow NC Lucid owner—Did they tell you it wasn’t included? If they didn’t say that, have you looked underneath the trunk and frunk removable covers? If not there, does your window sticker mention it? I would call customer support or your sales rep if no luck finding it or no mention on your paperwork. Happy motoring!

 

On the test drive I was told a charger came with it and shown the charger in the trunk. When I received the car (it was transported) there was no charger. I asked the sales person and he told me that in 2025 they chose not to include the charger but instead provide a $650 discount to be used for the 80 amp or the 40 amp charger. The 40 amp is ….. $650. Seems kind of cheap but thats the story.

 

Ahhh. Now I understand. I got mine end of December 2022 and we didn’t get either a credit or charger just a cord to plug in the wall.

 

The charger that came with my Air a couple of years ago sits in my garage (to avoid wasting trunk space), and has never been taken out of it's very nice case. Charging with 110v is so slow, I'm not sure why anyone would use it.

 

I use my 110v charger because 1) upgrading the outlet in my semidetached garage would cost about $2k plus the charger, 2) I’m retired and often go 2-3 days without leaving the house allowing 3) plenty of time to charge.

 

I have had an Autel 80 Amp installed in my garage and it is awesome. I charge at 75 to 80 miles per hour!

this is terrific for me as I can set it for times that suit my schedule and pricing on the grid.

I use the travel charger to do just that travel.

That first drive feeling is something special, isn’t it? Lucid really nailed the driving experience — smooth, powerful, and super refined. Totally agree with you on that.

And yeah, the lack of included charging equipment surprises a lot of folks. Definitely something Lucid could be more upfront about. Hope you’re able to get set up with the right charger soon — feel free to reach out if you need any recommendations
