I got the same email, and am waiting for the OTA Update to add it to my AGT. FINALLY! Hope the OTA Update comes very soon. I've been waiting since last July.

My OTA Update just started 5 minutes after I posted. Looking forward to trying the Apple CarPlay. Will post more after I try it.

Considering that 80% of phones in America are Android, WHAT ABOUT ANDROID AUTO?

Got OTA 2.0.58 on 3/23. Followed instructions for installation. Did not work. Had to play with phone settings and car device settings. Icon finally appeared on the right side of the glass cockpit. Worked well for a couple days. Now Air Play icon only appears occasionally. Some time if you select the Lucid radio icon and then go back to the Home icon, the Air Play icon will appear. Other times, no matter what I do I can’t make the icon appear. Next time I get into the car, there it is.
Love this car but the little software bugs are driving me crazy.

Actually - US market for Android is < 45%. All new software is developed for Apple first because it's the largest piece of the pie.

From a US Market share perspective, it's not a contest. Apple wins.

I get it - you have an Android device. You think lots of other people do too. Unfortunately for you - Apple owns the market. That isn't to say that Android doesn't have a significant share - but Apples is something like 55%-57%. And, as a developer, I can tell you that it's foolish (from an economics standpoint) to target Android first. All developers either develop cross platform or iOS first. Most of the time it's iOS first because there's more money to be made, more people to address etc.
I'm sure Android Auto will be there - at some point.

Also it’s easier for Lucid to develop Apple car play since the head of software used to head Apple car play division. Android will come since it states it on Lucid website.

I have found it works every time I get in my car. Not sure why yours is not. I did have to unpair the phone and then repair it to get it to work at the start, but since then, it has worked well. My only two comments are that I wish they had found a way to stretch CarPlay to fill the entire screen, and make the clock time font a bit bigger.

Anyone have any ideas what to do with the main screen now that CarPlay takes up the Pilot Panel?

I'm in the same boat regarding the car vs bugs. My apple car play has randomly dropped out. In addition, it will not run Audible and Maps. I have to run maps and then interface Audilble through blue tooth. Very very buggy.

Starts up fine but won't run parallel apps with Maps. I try to run Audible with Maps and Audible doesn't run. I have to run maps and then run Audible from my phone through blue tooth. I have not tried MS Teams or other apps yet.

I will admit this maybe a dumb response as I have not tried it yet in Lucid. On my Toyota all I have to say hey siri without hitting the voice command button. Siri comes in and I can issue voice commands. I don’t know if this will work in Lucid as I have not tried it in my Air Grand Touring.
