Whar about Android Auto

Good News for Applee users, Lucid finally has Apple Car Play. Lucid is probably the first car ever that provides Apple Car Play but not Android Auto. Considering that 80%of Americans use Android phones, it's a pretty stupid decision, isn't it?

But I think the Apple folks complain more. I'm an Android user too, so I'm disappointed they weren't released together.
porsche, mini and up to recently BMW owners have the same issue
The've left out 80% of the car buyers by leaving our android.
I hesitate to comment but 80% of Americans do NOT use Android phones. The Apple market share is 55% to 57%. That leaves Android somewhere in the low 40% range. If you're going to complain - great - but get your facts right!
January 2023, US phone maker Apple leads the pack, with a market share of 27.63%

That's an interesting quote. You may want to provide a source. You might be looking at World-wide statistics. In the US - Apple controls the market with about 57% while Android has about 42%.

You are correct this is world wide and these vehicles are going worldwide ask the Saudis. Their not building a factory to send them back here.

"They're" - and the issue was with factual information. The fact is - 57% of the US telephones are iOS. 42% are Android OS. You can be upset that Lucid hasn't pushed out Android Auto and you can either wait or switch to an iPhone. They will eventually have Android Auto.
The reason that CarPlay was first is because most developers write code for iOS first. It's just the way things are. Mainly it's because Android is a fairly fragmented OS with multiple different versions running on multiple different platforms. This means that from an adoption standpoint - fewer android users are up-to-date with the latest and greatest. Only about 15% of Android users are on the latest OS - it degrades from there. That means, as a developer, you can either target an older OS version or develop specifically for a very small segment of the population. It's frustrating for developers.
So... they develop for iOS because they know the vast majority of them are on the latest OS. And - there are more of them.
