I seem to be having considerable heat transmission through my AGT canopy. lt is very hot to the touch. I measured a temperature of 11.7 degrees fahernheit at the interior surface the other day. I have contacted customer care about this issue but don't seem to get any firm followup. I don't see any other complaints about this issue and am wondering if my glass was not coated properly by the glass supplier. Any suggestions as to what my next step should be? I am over customer care and would like to elevate my issue.

I have seen some other reports of owners going through the same issue. So there's a pattern. Although it shouldn't come down to this, would you consider getting this ceramic tint done? I hear that Llumar Air Blue 80 is just as good. Keep us posted if/when Lucid gets back to you but I think venturing on our own with solutions like this might be the only immediate fix we can bank on.

Welcome to the forum @volvo544, you're not the only one that's brought this concern up. Though it hasn't really been addressed by Lucid yet.

How long have you had your Air for?

I am pretty convinced a ceramic tint would cure the problem. But I believe this is either a vendor issue or a design flaw and given what I paid for the car I should not be on the hook for the fix
Yup, but since it's not a pressing issue like something safety related, we might not see a response from Lucid soon enough. Hopefully they address it on current model year vehicles rather than fixing it on MY2024 vehicles.

How are you liking the rest of your Lucid Air?

You don't say where you are located. I am in Arizona and I expect to put a high quality nano ceramic tint on any car I purchase. Our heat is not typical. On the other hand, if you are in San Francisco, where the temperature is more moderate, I would expect that the car maker's glass should be sufficient.

So in my case I am looking to see if tinted cars are adequate in our very hot weather (and a major reason why I have reserved a Pure...no window on the roof).

I really like the car despite some quirky software issues like door showing open when it is closed, doors won’t open, garage opener doesn’t always work, etc

I am in Charlotte NC. I just returned from a trip to the mall. The current temperature is 87 I just measured the internal canopy temperature and it was 112 degrees Fahrenheit. This is clearly unacceptable

What did customer service tell you when you originally reached out to them?

That is a lot. Were you able to measure the temperature in the cabin (I am looking to see if the heat on the glass transferred into the cabin)?

First individual said I should get the car at my expense. I said I thought was unreasonable given how much I paid for the vehicle. Second person seemed much more sympathetic and said a tech would come out to look at the car. Well that never happened. The third person asked that I send pictures of the temperature readings so he could share it with engineering. I did that but it’s been crickets. Just sent an email today what lucid was going to do about the issue.
