They not been very responsive for my situation also. On my second email request for a refund I was told to call Lucid Customer Care at 888-995-8243. They told me that I would receive a call from someone in sales but that hasn't happened.

The situation:
I picked up my GT in Scottsdale, AZ on Wednesday 8/3/22. On Friday, 8/5/22 the car would not wake up and I was stranded while picking up dinner for the family. The car was towed back to Scottsdale and they have made no progress towards a fix as of Monday, 8/8/22.
A warning message came on earlier in the day on Friday and I called customer care. At that time they could find no problem and asked me to send pics of the message if it came on again. The message came on again when I went to pick up dinner.

The car is phenomenal but my wife now fears riding in it

Maybe I am confused. I was thinking that this post was about a refund of a refundable deposit.

Tequilamonger's post seems to be about trying to invoke a buyback of some kind. I have gone through that process with BMW. I got BMW to buy back my car but only after I walked into the dealership with a letter stating that I was invoking the lemon law and the service manager agreed with me and convinced BMWNA rep to agree to a buy back without a formal lemon law process. IN Arizona, you are not yet eligible for lemon law treatment.

steveinarizona,
I see what you're saying, I was talking about a buyback which won't happen unless they fail to fix the problem. I posted my issue in the Lucid Air discussion forum as a new thread to see if anyone can add anything or offer advice. I love the car by my wife hates it now.

deduction,
Lucid employees are extremely busy right now. If you sent your email to [email protected] I would give them 2-3 days to respond.

@Tequilamonger, I had that same problem about 3 weeks ago. Was told the 1.2.7 update would fix the problem and it did. I was not where I could just get home and did not want to wait for a tow. I drove the car home, about 3 miles after talking with phone support (who did not have any answer). At first, no brake regen and max speed about 30mph with very slow acceleration but it drove. Then magically at 1 mile or so, everything went away. happened again few days later and same outcome. after the software update, never happened again. I was told there was something in 1.2.7 to fix the problem. So... YMMV but driving it slowly and see if resolves appears to work. Certainly did not hurt the car. Service agreed.

and regarding Arizona lemon law, this is from AZ state web site. Appears you are going to have to wait for a few repair attempts.

"There is a limit on the number of times a consumer must allow the manufacturer to repair the car and the amount of time the car can be out of service. If during the covered period, the manufacturer fails to successfully repair the defect after four attempts, or the car is out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of 30 or more calendar days, the manufacturer must accept return of the car or replace the car with a new car."
