Jen from Out of Spec Reviews test drives an Air for the first time to see what she thinks and if she'd be willing to trade in her Taycan for it.
Yes, I was one of the first grand tourings. Not a great pic, but this was in my carport. I absolutely love the car, and to be honest, I would take this over the Taycan in a second. I would like to be able to take this on a test track, though, which was a lot of fun about the Porsche driving experience.@tomfence have you taken delivery of your Air already? Share som pics if you have! What are your impressions and what (if anything) would you steal from the Porsche?
What major automaker would you say its level of luxury is comparable to? Mercedes?I drove the Taycan at Porsche’s “driving experience center” in LA while I was waiting for my Lucid GT to be delivered. While the “experience” was fun, the Taycan doesn’t compare to the Lucid GT in terms of luxury or battery. Battery range was most important for me, so it was a no brainer. I love my Lucid GT
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the Air!I test drove the taycan and loved it but could not get passed the range for the cost. I also looked at the Mercedes EQS the interior was immaculate with the hyperscreen but the range and l
ook of the vehicle. I had a Tesla 75 D for the past 5 years and just got my Lucid GT and I am in love with the car. The only gripe i have is the Navigation needs some work done, the speed the handling the performance and the looks View attachment 1433
There is a gap between those who like the experience of driving a performance car (low seating position, etc.) and those who like the view from a higher seating position in a truck or SUV. I think they are both legitimate preferences. Dave711 appears to be in the latter category (although I see in another thread that Dave711 is trying to sell his reservation, not give it away).I drove the Lucid Air Grand Touring 800 + horsepower. I didn't like the seating position, arm rests, stearing wheel and visablility. It was quick but I was not impressed. I will keep my Rivian R1S, a much bettert experience. Anyone want my Ludid reservation.

Have you taken delivery of a R1S? Or are you still waiting on production?I drove the Lucid Air Grand Touring 800 + horsepower. No, I commuted in a Chevy spark ev about 8 years ago, but gave it up after the lease expired and I moved to Oregon. Still, even being a Chevy spark, I enjoyed driving it more than other cars of mine, like a bmw 335d. I’m very happy to be driving electric again, and never plan on going back.
