The EQE is about the same size as the Lucid. Exterior is still ugly like a whale but at least the interior is not from a bordello. HP is insufficient (IMO). Range is okay. I think the Lucid blows it away.

The EQE may be the car that becomes the comparable entry to Lucid Air. Comparisons as to panel gaps, software, overall build quality should become key metrics. Execution by both MB and LCID on these cars will be watched by me and much of the consumer & investment communities

I also view the EQE as the Lucid competitor, not the much larger EQS. That is why I started this thread. While your listed features are important for comparison, I would put repeatable range, power, handling, suspension, turning, etc. as more important metrics.

The EQS is no competitor of the Lucid. I had a reservation for the 580 and CVP test drove it. Cancelled my reservation and got refunded after that. Car looks ugly from outside and is worse inside! German quality minimalism was replaced by gaudy Las Vegas bordello meets Hollywood glitter. Lots of cheap plastic and led lights. The use of the traditional dealership distribution model is also a mistake. Dealer markup for the 580 is $50K. After the early adopter sales run out, the cars will not sell with that kind of markup. Car ran ok but did not have the Lucid range.
