Spotted this article on Twitter from @LetsGoLucid2022. It reports on a "conference call" with Lucid execs (maybe it means an earnings call, or else I guess this would be leaked info?) where they lay out their product plans.

Lucid’s Tesla Model Y competitor expected within a few years

In 2022, Lucid Motors will launch a Tesla Model X rival - the Lucid Gravity, and a few years later, it plans to release a Tesla Model Y rival in a top-down strategy.

I'm a bit iffy on the sourcing here, and the specifics of the timing are extremely vague, but it is fun to try to imagine what some of these products will be like. A Lucid pickup truck?!

How do folks here feel about Lucid expanding to something more like a volume manufacturer? Do you wish they'd stay premium and exclusive, or do you look forward to seeing lots of more affordable Lucids all over the place?

I think Lucid is making the right move. They're just following the playbook that nearly all automakers do, that is to launch a flagship/top tier model first the launch lower segment volume models.
