Welcome to the forum @snowydan! You can order an Air right now here's the link to their online configurator.

For charging, yes the Lucid uses J1772 charging for the Air so you won't have to worry about that. Btw how long have you had your Polestar?

Not available yet. Supposedly Q2. Yes, it can charge any car out there with a J1772 plug. It will even do a Tesla if you have an adapter.

If you mean the charging cable and mounting on the wall unit, comes with Lucid Air. You can charge most of EV with this unit except Tesla.
I have a TESLA Wall Charger and I am getting Lucid Air- Can I use my TESLA Wall Charger as I get good 48A now on my TESLA? If not, does Lucid sell a Wall Charger and for how much? Thanks

Hey @Amalek, if you buy an adapter the Tesla wall charger can work on the Air or any other non Tesla. Lucid does have their own home charger but I'm not sure when they're going on sale.

1) Yes, with an adapter like a TeslaTap.
2) Mobile unit comes with the car. Home unit capable of delivering 19.2kW at 80 amps coming in Q3 (maybe) and is bidirectional for V2H. Price TBD, but rumor in the $1-2k range.

Thank you...Very helpful.
But when will the "Lucid Connected Home Charging Station" be available and what will it cost?
Home charger station is now looking like AT LEAST Q3. No cost details, but rumored to be in the $1-2k.

Unless you are wanting the bidirectional capabilities, I would purchase a 3rd party EVSE such as a ChargePoint Flex.
Charging partnership - From discussions with Lucid Tech it appears that QMerit is their preferred EV charger parent. Here is a link to their site that may be of interest - EV Charger Installation – Qmerit Electrification LLC
Just got off the phone with Lucid. 3rd qt, $1200
And we're going into Q4-2022 and it's still not available. I was an early adopter with Tesla so I'm used to delays and false promises like this. But certainly doesn't mean it's any less annoying.
Unless you’re looking for 2 way charging there are lots of chargers on the market that will do the job.

Yes. Certainly referring to the bidirectional charging unit. That’s going to be awesome to see in action.

Just received the e-mail below yesterday (10/20/22 @ 9am CST) confirming the new Lucid Connected Home Charging Station is available to order for Dream Edition owners. Not sure if it's really restricted to Dream owners like it states in the Subject Line below. Take note: "Best of all, it promises to be better in the future, with software updates that will enable bi-directional charging — meaning you can use your car to power your house (additional hardware needed).". I'm curious to know exactly what this "additional hardware" will be. And how much Lucid will charge for it. If they're following their current pattern of overpricing EVERYTHING thus far then perhaps be prepared to get Monkey Humped on this as well. C'mon, $48 for a t-shirt which is technically offering free advertising for the brand. Even Tesla only charges $30-$35 for t-shirts. And $1,200 for this Home Charging Station! Tesla is at $400 & Rivian at $500 for their Home Charging Stations.
Anyway, that gripe aside (likely just venting because of where LCID is at these days), I thought this to be good intel for the Lucid Community. Cheers...

Order yours <~~ Yes, this link works.

An exclusive for Dream Edition owners: our Lucid Connected Home Charging Station is now available.
Home is where the charging station is.
As our first customers, we wanted to give you the first chance to buy the new Lucid Connected Home Charging Station.

It’s built to perform indoors or outdoors through all seasons, and comes with a generous 24-foot cable. Best of all, it promises to be better in the future, with software updates that will enable bi-directional charging — meaning you can use your car to power your house (additional hardware needed).

Like the rest of our vehicle accessories, it was designed by the same people who engineered your Lucid Air, so you can count on attention to detail you simply won’t find anywhere else. And we recommend easy, expert installation with our partner Qmerit.
