I do not. The Lucid test drive will be my first. I am aware that regenerative braking takes some getting used to.

Long range Tesla S spec'd with 21" wheels (no 20" which I prefer) in gray and wood interior comes to $88k (update: price increased to 98k), Lucid, maybe a Touring to be comparable is $95k with a nicer look and better quality interior, and 20" wheels with gray body plus wood interior are included; tax rebate for Tesla is $5500 but $7500 for Lucid for a possible "expensive" difference of $5k. Tesla does not appeal to me, I'm sorry if that is incomprehensible to you Tess, but I'm planning on buying the car not you. Ok?

I’m fine with that. You want a lucid, great, buy it.. I hope lucid succeeds. we will see .


by the way the 7500 tax credit is not a rebate. It’s a tax credit calculation based off your income and tax base rate. Many people will not see any benefit at all. When your talking about a car as expensive at a Lucid or top of the line Tesla or for that matter Mercedes or a Porsche etc, the credit is not automatic for people with that kind of income.

its a sales pitch by the manufacturers. All of them. You won’t even know if you qualify until you do your taxes the following year. Cheers.

The federal credit is not phased out by income level (rather the opposite as income has to be high enough to equal or exceed the credit or receive a lesser amount), but by the number of cars made; Tesla and GM don't qualify in 2021 (that $5,500 was in fact for "gasoline savings"), unless the Clean Energy for America Act is passed (update 9/11: the revised credit may or may not make it into the new bill, which would disqualify all Air models-- >$55,000). Lucid will qualify once it becomes an approved manufacturer.

They're going to be doing test drives at people's homes? That's a smart move for them to tailor the buying experience to customers.

Not their homes. I believe the car would be brought to a local public space, like a mall, and several prospective owners would get the chance to test it out.

The Lucid Air has been named of the eligible cars competing for the 2022 North American Car Detailing by Best Mobile Car Detailing Service In Columbia Md-A Perfect Shine of the Year award!

It is happening on Sep 27th for some selected ones. How they select who will have the chances is not yet known. Lucid is inviting Media, Investors and some who have reserved their cars on that day.
