Key fob is the bane of my Lucid

This car is solid, smooth and sexy. The range on my AGT is OK, but I'm not at the gas station any longer.

At this point the only major gripe I have is the key fob/car sensors. The unlock button doesn't open the car immediately, sometimes taking 30" or longer or not at all. It is repeatedly not found in the car during drives. The car senses it only when coming from the front right or (occasionally) the right rear. I dread walking up to my door to get in, only to wait like an imbecile for the car to respond. I can't wait for the Florida deluge thunderstorms to show up...

I've had this error message come up a few times while driving now when the car opened and started for me.

You have other ways to unlock the car, ie. Card and phone app, but this seems to be a weakness.

Same for me. The inconsistent ability to get into my car makes me crazy. A car this costly should not be a guessing game on let's try the phone key, nope - let's try the fob- nope let's try the card...meanwhile I am a lady alone in a parking lot looking like a target for purse snatchers and car jackers. Over the phone customer care had me delete my phone and fob. We repaired them and Bluetooth would not work to repair phone. Service came out and of course it all worked fine. Argh.

Absolutely agree with all the comments regarding getting into the damn vehicle.

1) doesn't sense the iphone or key fob.. takes forever to get the car unlocked.
2) if/when it finally does unlock, the seat position is always in the wrong position. Why doesnt the car sense which phone or fob is approaching and prepare according to the drivers that have been saved?? 1995 cars do this!
3) during driving, car often says "key not detected".. yes, i've changed teh batteries in the fobs several times.

Tesla gave us a 10 year head start.. whomever is responsible for entry issues shouldve been long fired at LUCID. Not acceptable for a car thats $!70k+!

Same here, and this is my only complaint. I have a wish list that includes entry/exit seat position, but my only complaint is havi g to wait for the car to open.
Are use the app on my iPhone, and honestly, I think the fob is a little bit quicker but not by much. I did get caught in the rain once or twice. I hope it’s an easy fix.

Anyone ever get the sense that Lucid doesn't have people looking at this forum? The same little annoyances which should all be easy to fix. My big issue is getting my GT to be identified on an EA chaging station. I have at best a 10% success rate, what good is a vehicle for a long trip if you fear you may not be able to recharge in route? Is anybody listening?
Since the Apple Car play update my Lucid with IPhone and key fob now works as it should. Lucid does need to see their customers complaint. They need someone to look at all of the Lucid forum. Their lack of customer focus is hurting them

I had a similar fob problem yesterday. I was able to unlock the car, but it gave me the Key Not Detected message and refused to go into gear. It then prompted me to enter my PIN on the Pilot Panel, but that was impossible as after two weeks and numerous resets my Pilot Panel will still not accept any entries until reset once again. I finally obtained the second fob, which worked fine. Go figure. I'm trying to maintain a positive outlook, but it's challenging.

I have experienced the same thing. I have found that’s it’s due to a low battery. These key fobs goes through battery’s rather quickly. I always carry a spare along with a screw driver in case that happens.
Yep it’s a pain and Lucid should fix it. No excuse for battery’s not lasting a year.

I have read this complaint from other owners, but I just received my Lucid on March 15th. It has less than 200 miles and has only been driven eight or so times, so this seems too soon for a low battery.

Agreed but I have to change the battery about every ten trips.
Try replacing the battery in the key fob.
