I’ve had mine since Oct 22 and haven’t had to change either one. Was this after putting in new batteries, or were they the original ones that came in the fob?
The first battery came with the car, the second I changed in February, drained in April. Next time I will write on the battery the date of change.I’ve had mine since Oct 22 and haven’t had to change either one. Strange I got my car in January and the battery drained in March. Replaced the original and the battery drained in two weeks. Replaced again. Someone stated it drains to the Bluetooth radio. I will admit the garage is close to the family room maybe that’s why it drains fastThe first battery came with the car, the second I changed in February, drained in April. keep them far enough away from the car when not in use. If they are near the car. It will constantly drain the battery. I noticed this when I was washing the car and had the key in my pocket. it kept locking and unlocking the doors. My key fob battery was dead the next day. Try using your phone works just as wellHave you noticed that the key fob batteries die after 2 months? Before theucid, I have had 2 cars with keyless fobs, in both it took years to use up the batteries, I am not sure how many, probably 3-4 years. Two months is NOT acceptable.
My batteries die out in a few weeks. I think the reason is where the car is parked relative to where you live. My garage is adjacent to our kitchen, spaced by a wall of course. But, I think what is happening is that when I am in the kitchen, the car recognizes the fob and opens the doors. This must happen dozens of times in a day which I believe is draining the battery.Have you noticed that the key fob batteries die after 2 months? I just replaced my fob battery for the third time in 6 months!! This is really crazy. My fob stopped working yesterday and I didn't even think that it could possibly be the battery, as it was just replaced one month ago when I had the car in for service. I was driving and it kept telling me KEY NOT DETECTED. By the time I got home it wouldn't even open the doors. But I took a chance and swapped the battery as soon as I got home and ta-da it started working again. My other cars fobs also last for like 4-5 years. I went out and bought two batteries and put them in the glovebox as I can't chance this kind of failure...hopefully I can get into the car to get the batteries! Lucid actually suggested I delete my phone as I always carry the phone and the fob is in my purse - the two kept conflicting.keep them far enough away from the car when not in use. Welcome to the forum @San_Air_23. That's pretty interesting I never thought of that. What was the issue that you were having them look at your car for?I had my Air serviced recently by a Lucid Mobile Service technician for an unrelated problem. He offered me new batteries for both of my FOBs even though they tested okay (after about 3 months of ownership). He said they go dead pretty fast and he believes this was due to the FOBs using Bluetooth versus RFID technology.
I keep mine in a faraday pouch, but it still burns through the battery every couple of months...This is common usually because the fob is regularly kept near enough to the car that it gets activated frequently. (It was reported by news owners frequently ar the Other e-car forum)
After the new batteries, try keeping the fob in a different place or buy a faraday cage or box. Some are more attractive than others but this is the idea - https://www.amazon.com/Samfolk-Faraday-Protector-Blocking-Keyless/dp/B0BQ6SYXCJ/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=faraday+cage+box&qid=1682436322&sprefix=farraday+cage,aps,184&sr=8-8 (note the coupon!)

One of the sensors in the front distant warning system failed. I am still waiting for new sensor to arrive and get installed before I will know for sure whether problem gets solved.Welcome to the forum @San_Air_23.
