A week and a bit ago the EV manufacturer Polestar shared the results of a survey they conducted that said that 55% of American drivers "purchase an electric car for reasons other than environmental benefits"

To be precise, which I couldn't be on a poll, protecting the environment was the principal reason for me to buy a BEV. Buying a Lucid, vs other BEVs, is a more nuanced decision.

Agree completely as I’ve been following EVs for a while and when Lucid hit the lucky 500+ mile range it meant there isn’t anywhere I would typically drive that I can’t get to & from on a single charge.
