Well, except for someone paying sales tax a second time and having a title trail that makes the car technically a pre-owned car. And that's assuming that all the warranty coverages are fully transferable, which I haven't checked.. . . there’s not much of a difference between selling the reservation and just taking delivery and immediately reselling the car . . . .
True that! Either way, I'm sure there's a way to make it happen. I know people do this with Teslas all the time even though it's technically not something Tesla allows. Just hard to prevent.Well, except for someone paying sales tax a second time and having a title trail that makes the car technically a pre-owned car. A lot of the Tesla tales you hear get the facts confused or don't tell the whole story.I know people do this with Teslas all the time even though it's technically not something Tesla allows.
Maybe another option for you to get a Lucid sooner vs. later. Put in a reservation for a Grand Touring and then check the box to be put on the Dream Edition waiting list....maybe one will become available. Supposedly all the DE's are supposed to be built before the end of the year. I know the DE's sold out...but it sounds like a number are becoming available for those folks on the DE waiting list. I have no idea how long that waiting list might be. Just an idea. Not sure if this is acceptable to post (I know people post things like this on Tesla forms), but curious whether anyone is willing to sell their reservation. Pacifically if a person has a reservation with an upcoming delivery.
Yeah, that's a good point. I did make a reservation for a Grand Touring, but I can't even remember whether I checked that off. I emailed Lucid to see if they could double-check whether I checked that and if not add me to the list.Maybe another option for you to get a Lucid sooner vs. later. Similar situation, different spec. Following Lucid for a while and plan on keeping the car, though I can imagine there might be some people out there really interested in a Dream Edition and happened to miss out with the money to spare/offer.I have a reservation for a Eureka Gold Performance edition Dream that should be delivered in the next few weeks. I am planning to keep it but would entertain offers if you would like to DM me.
Just added myself to the list. Apparently you can go into your account and do this after the fact. Also still very interested in purchasing a reservation, however that works logistically, or a car that's just been delivered. For now, I think best bet for an MSRP purchase is to check the box to waitlist on Dream reservations.

I have a reservation for a GT that Lucid has contacted me about and wants me to place asap. They said 6-8 weeks for delivery. What are you offering?Just a bump to say I'm still looking! Thanks
They said 6-8 weeks and you have not confirmed the order yet? That does not sound right. When was your reservation date? They said once I place the order it will be Six to Eight Weeks maybe so quick because we live in Scottsdale which is 1 hour from Casa Grande??They said 6-8 weeks and you have not confirmed the order yet? Hi, David,
I noticed that you haven’t confirmed your Grand Touring order or scheduled a time with me to discuss the process.
We’ve started confirming orders with other Grand Touring customers, and I want to ensure the earliest delivery date possible. That said, we do need to hear from you soon about your order — are you ready to take the next steps towards ownership?
I haven’t confirmed my order yet. So, there’s time to make any additions or changes. They said once I place the order it will be Six to Eight Weeks maybe so quick because we live in Scottsdale which is 1 hour from Casa Grande??
I don’t have a flat fee that I’m offering. Just looking at what people are trying to sell for and seeing what makes sense. Any idea how much you want to charge? They said once I place the order it will be Six to Eight Weeks maybe so quick because we live in Scottsdale which is 1 hour from Casa Grande??
Well, I have $1k out for my DP. I’m open to offers to take my reservation. Any idea how that would work?I don’t have a flat fee that I’m offering. Just looking at what people are trying to sell for and seeing what makes sense. Any idea how much you want to charge?
Well, every company has a policy against selling reservations. But at the same time there’s really no way they can enforce it. People do it all the time. From my understanding, when people do this, they write up a contract so that both parties feel safe. Then one gives the other the login information. After that, I will just go in and change the account information: name and email address. Then when the car is finally ready they will let me title it in my name.Well, I have $1k out for my DP.
