I’ve had my Lucid Air Touring for 2 weeks now

THE GOOD:
1. It’s a head-turner pretty much on par with Ferraris and Lambos (maybe not 2-3 years from now when there are more on the road but now? Oh yeah).
2. Dammit, it’s fun to drive! I’m gonna get some speeding tickets, just a matter of time. Drives like a dream.
3.The interior is beautiful, luxurious and roomy. Everyone who has ridden in the car just gushes about it. This is where Lucid just kicks Tesla’s ass.
THE BAD:
1. The lane-centering thing sucks; once I figured out how to turn it off, the driving experience improved by 50%.
2. The glass roof is beautiful, impressive, all that, but if the car is left in the hot Florida sun, it DOES heat up and it heats up the car. I would still get the glass roof on my car - it’s THAT COOL 😎 - but I make extra efforts to find shady spots to park.
3.The infotainment system is frustrating. I find myself just using Apple Car Play for most everything; it’s much simpler.
THE UGLY:
There’s no Ugly. It’s a gorgeous car. Period.

Hey @JayColl56 welcome to the forum and congrats on getting your Air Touring! Glad to hear you're liking it so much! Yeah you're going to have to be careful with how fast and quick it is haha.

What issues have you had with the infotainment and lane centering?

Is the Air your first EV or have you owned others? Tesla?

What issues have you had with the infotainment and lane centering?
The lane centering feature is my least favorite thing on the car. It pulls the car in ways and at times I don’t want it pulled, and to me, it feels almost dangerous. It’s a great car to drive, and I want to be driving it myself, not feel like the car is fighting me.
I will acknowledge that my (minor) struggles with the infotainment system might be partially due to my lack of tech savvy and my (tech-averse) age. But I can’t seem to get the navigation system to show all the charging stations (not just EA) along the route. The Navigation system is generally frustrating enough that I just use Apple Car Play and the navigation system there instead.
Again, none of these issues change my opinion about this being a fantastic car. Absolutely beautiful and a blast to drive.

This is my first EV but I’ve driven several Teslas before getting my Lucid

I hate the lane centering. This is a wonderful car to drive and the lane centering thing wants to drive the car for you, and not in a good way. It pulls the car when it shouldn’t (IMHO) and to me it feels borderline dangerous. I had this on a rental BMW driving through the NC mountains in the rain and I felt like I was going to go into a spin fighting the pull when I would switch lanes.

The screen showing charging stations defaults to EA stations only, but there's a button at the top right of the screen to show all stations. I'm on vacation away from my car, so I can't describe it more accurately. But it's always been there in mine.

I’ve had my Touring almost 5 months and absolutely love it. The OTA updates have been making steady improvements in many aspects. Believe it or not, the lane centering has actually gotten a little less worse. It’s still absolutely horrible and yes maybe even dangerous. Biggest complaint by far. As for the car heating up in the sun—have you tried using the Lucid app to lower the temperature before getting to the car? On the main app screen tap the fan icon and set the temp lower. Happy motoring!

Yea Lucid Dream Drive is a joke. I turn off all of Dream Drive features as it does not work. Lucid has a long way to go before Dream Drive is functional. If your looking into buying a Lucid today and you are getting a model lower than the Air GT don’t waste your money on Dream Drive.
We just turned our lane centering off this week. I have been battling it to a point where I was driving in fear which is no fun. We have lots of faded land lines and jersey walls and a few times it almost pulled me into the barrier. I will now try to relax again and drive normally!

In the nav menu pull up the search screen. Tap Charging - there is a toggle for EA only. Tap that off to pull up all charging stations.

One of the first thing I did was disable the lane centering---agree, it is dangerous. Also agree that much easier to use Apple Car Play. Definitely a beautiful car---got mine last July and have loved every minute.

That’s a very good idea. Hadn’t done that yet; but I will start. It’s been unusually hot already in Central Florida and it’s not even summer yet.

True that we can turn it off. But I paid $9k (if I remember correctly) so that I could get my car by Dec 31 and get the $7500 tax credit. I shouldn’t have to turn off a $9k feature to drive my car safely.

Mine is an Air Touring, and I declined the Dream Drive and the super duper (that’s not really what it’s called 😉) sound system. I did get the glass roof, which is pretty freaking cool.
I have an GT. I got the Dream Drive, mostly for the camera array. I tend to be cautious with the Highway Assist and Dream Drive stuff, but my husband uses it all the time. Now that I've seen it work, I don't see what everyone is complaining about. It kept the car in it's lane and stopped at the requested distance before cars in traffic, the resumed the set speed. Of course, no automated system will work 100% of the time, and paying attention to the road and making adjustments is still required. I declined the SurroundSound Pro as well in the new Lucid. I'm still in the three month trial period, so I'll see what happens at the end of it. Most of the benefit of it comes if you listen to music with Dolby, which is only available on Tidal. If you're on XM or Spotify, which I use, I don't think it will sound that different. But I guess I'll find out in a month.
