I've been waiting for a long range EV sedan before I switch over completely to EV. I have a PHEV now. This costs 4x the largest amount we've ever spent on a car. I expect to be driving this for 10 to 15 years.

Welcome to the forum. What PHEV do you own currently?

Honda Clarity. It's a good car, around 40 miles of EV range. I only hit a gas station once a month.

Nice! How long have you had it for? Would you recommend someone get it or consider other PHEV? I know someone in the market for it or something similar and would appreciate the feedback.

I leased it July 2018, bought out the lease in July 2021. I'll be selling it to my brother when I take delivery of the Lucid. I would definitely recommend it. It's a very comfortable drive, lots of safety features built in, a large amount of storage space.
There were only two PHEVs ever made with more than 30 mile range, both out of production now, this and the Volt. Rated at 47 and 52 respectively. The Volt is more fun to drive, but very small. My family wouldn't fit in it. So I went with the Clarity.
