Have you given/received a car as a gift?

It's holiday season and as is tradition there's going to be commercials and ads focused on someone buying a new car for a loved one as part of a holiday sale.

Personally I've never bought a car as a gift for somoene but it makes me wonder. Has anyone done that for someone or has received a car as a holiday gift? If so what was the car and what happened when you gave it or received it?
