Hi dpateI0380,

Just left a post on your other question. In that post, I mentioned the personal profile issues with the Lucid software. I recommend when approaching the car with one fob at a time. Approaching the car with two users (drivers) with fobs of different profiles, the car will use the settings of the first fob it first detect, thus configuring the car to that fob's profile settings. If driver's settings are not detected or you are entering the Lucid that does not have your profile setting, you will need to enter the car, close the driver's door, and set your profile settings. If the Lucid has your profile settings but didn't recognize your fob, the car will (AT PRESENT) require you to enter and close the driver's door. Then look to the upper right portion of the drivers screen, next to the garage link to click your personal profile. It may take up to 30 seconds for the car to change to your seat, mirror, steering wheel and, A/C and infotainment settings. This prosses is painfully slow compared to todays standards, but software updates keep coming. I personally believe that these problems will get fixed in the next 3 to 6 months. Lucid just hired a software engineer from Apple to lead the software improvement.

I see myself as a "beta" tester for Lucid. Similar to the original Tesla Model S owners. All these software foibles are expected, thus some level of patience will be needed with the brand. How is the fit and finish?

OP - Yes, the A column is raked quite a bit (for aerodynamics, like the Tesla), so at least for me at 6’1”I find I have to back my butt into the car to get into the driver’s seat even with the seat in its lowest position.

I’ve thought this since the day we got ours. I find it very tight getting in and out. I’m 5’10”, which is pretty much average height.
My 2007 Lexus had a mechanism where the steering wheel tilted up and away and the seat pulled back to allow ample room to exit and re-enter the car.

It is a sedan, so I would understand the limitations of getting in and out, even though it is not a bad idea to have some moving seats/steering wheel (for this price tag of the car). And yes, the car, unfortunately, is not designed (I guess aerodynamics, but it is more than that ); by and for tall people (the population is generally taller!). The headrest is not adjustable for the up end down position. The visibility is impacted since the sun visor is too low (and fixed to the window ) and not adjustable. The tinted part of the windshield is relatively lower, and you see half of the road shaded. If you are tall, you cannot see the stop lights (blocked by the visor) unless you put the visor on the side (which was also poorly designed to stay there ) if you are the first car in the intersection. If you are tall, your head is almost touching the ceiling glass top, which gets so hot (in California, Arizona, etc.....). It could negatively impact you and be even dangerous if your head is overheated while driving. A/C vents are so low (airflow cannot be adjusted high enough, and the air is obstructed from the top of the board and is tucked deep) and thus cannot cool down your face, let alone the rooftop glass. With that, I like the car, but this should be considered in the future.

Is this based on your experiences with the Air @AirBo? Or from others you spoken to?

I agree 100%. the door pillar it too thick and too low. I am 5'11" and I have to squeeeeezzze my melon into the car.
One thing they can do to improve access is to lower the seat to the bottom and all the way back. When the car recognizes you it should bring the seat to the programed position (I think VW does that). This function should be controllable in Settings since some people may not like it.
