Ferrari Patents Fender That Moves With Suspension

Ferrari has filed a patent application for a way to fix the fenders to arms of the front wheels, so that they move up and down with the suspension, without turning with the wheels. The benefit is a fixed distance to the gap between the wheels and the fenders, reducing aerodynamic variance and improving stability. Also, because it is fixed, Ferrari can reduce the size of the gap, without having to worry about having clearance for suspension travel.
