It has been quite some time the EPA and Crash testing started. That may be all over sometime ago. But there is no official announcement as of yet about the results

September 27th announcement is interesting. It seem that the release of Dream Editions will be in October, the earliest. Again this is not announced.

Hope to keep our fingers crossed and wait for the soon arrival.

I visited my nearest Lucid Studio on Oak Brook, IL and they said they are hoping for a live vehicle in "two weeks." They stated the delay was crash testing and the EPA. We can only wonder how COVID has affected getting this done.

By the way, I received a call from LUCID inviting us to attend September 27th event at Casa Grande to tour the Lucid Facility and to test drive the Dream Edition. It would be a Lucid Company's invitation for us for travel and all the travel and accommodation etc, all expenses paid by LUCID.

We are very excited and will provide all the details and post them here after our return.

Looks like we are closing in in delivery sometime soon!

It gives me great pleasure to invite you both to our manufacturing facility in Arizona for a full day of exclusive activities.

On Tuesday, September 28, we will be hosting an invite-only event to experience Lucid Air firsthand. You will meet many of the Lucid team, tour the factory, see the commissioning of the factory and be one of the first customers to test drive the Lucid Air.

Please see your attached invitation with some more information. The invitation is for you plus 1 guest. It includes travel, 2 nights stay at the Phoenician in Scottsdale, and ground transportation. It is not a delivery event; it is a manufacturing commissioning event that was alluded to in Jonny Lieberman's Motor Trend article. It will be a combination of 20 Dream Edition customers, many from the media and influencers, State Government officials, local government, public policy folks and more. It is going to be an exciting event.

I am SO excited you both will be able to attend and will update you with more details to prepare for your visit.

Here's hoping this is true but Lucid deliveries could start sooner rathe than later.

Peter Rawlinson said on an investor call yesterday that “We are in the late stages of the crash testing program, and the car is in the midst of EPA range testing.”

This follows up with Lucid confirming that they are past the pre-production/quality validation prototype cars.

So with all this it seems that Lucid is waiting on a couple more things before they can start sending cars out to customers.

• Lucid's merger with CCIV to go through
• Crash testing
• EPA testing

I walked by on Sunday. Car was covered and no staff. State law cannot sell on Sunday. I'm just waiting for a call.

Actually, that's a good question. I don't know if it (car in showroom) was covered because this is what normally happens on Sunday or if this was something new. I live three hours away in Indianapolis.
