This should also come as very positive news for investors since the Pure should sell like crazy, much like what we've seen with the Taycan 4S (base model)
Yea!Interesting report from Business Insider. The factory was shut down for one week in early June in order to retool and get ready for Pure production and other adjustments. As someone with a Pure on order, I find this exciting. BI reported the other various production woes, but its sources inside Lucid said they are still aiming for the 12-14,000 cars being produced this year.
“The scheduled pause, from May 29 to June 4, was instituted so Lucid could install tooling needed for assembly of the $87,400 Air Pure, the least expensive version of the automaker's luxury electric sedan. Lucid aims to start delivering the car later this year. “
“Four sources who currently or previously worked at Lucid told Insider the pause also allowed for internal reorganization work at Lucid's logistics operations center in nearby Tempe, an attempt to assess the automaker's ongoing supplier and quality challenges.”
