I'm interested in hearing what other owners think of auto park. I had not had much luck with it, and only successfully used it a couple of times. Some times, there are obvious spaces available, but the car does not recognize them. Other times, it thinks something is a parking space, when it obviously isn't. I'm trying to figure out if it's just me, or are others having similar experiences.

Not exactly on point but I have it on my BMW and in 4+ years have never used it. I am too much a control freak to let the car take over. So you might want to add another optional answer: I don't know because I have never tried it.

The automakers NEEDS an object to determine a parking spot, wall, curb, or other car. Open spots don't work, at least this is what I was told by a Lucid tech.

Thanks for your input. I was wondering just about the open spots. Is there any particular dimension after which the car detects them?
