Anyone know if the Dream Drive Pro OPTION is a hardware OPTION?
My Advisor told me Dream Drive Pro is a hardware option that cannot be added later.

Is this true? Sounds fishy to me...

Yes, it is true. There are multiple Sensors, Cameras, Lidar, Lasers, etc. needed for Drive Drive Pro that will allow for the DDP improvements via Software in the future. Without the hardware, you will not get the benefit of the Software upgrades.

Since Peter came from Tesla I highly doubt it’s a hardware issue. All Tesla cars come with the hardware for FSD. It cost twelve thousand extra and all Tesla has to do is activate the software.
I think it’s the same with Lucid as it’s easier to include the hardware just not activate it. The cost to add the hardware later on would be costly Thus if Lucid doesn’t have the hardware installed they will be unable to sell Dream Drive later down the line.

I can answer FOR SURE about my car. I ordered the Touring with no Dream Drive Pro (DDP). The car came with DDP for 3 months. It will inactivate after 3 months of demo period. Be advised that so far all it does is keep lane centering. No lane changing, no HW exiting. I tested it on a fairly straight HW (in Illinois, we have only straight HW's) and it worked fine. A better test would be on a twisty HW, so in short I don't know how well it works. Also, the eye and hand sensors are way too sensitive and very annoying (Lucid monitors both).
