6 months of lucid air GT ownership

I took delivery 6 months ago and below is my honest opinion. I still own a 2013 Tesla model S (before they added all the sensors) and I can say that this is the best car I’ve ever owned. Let’s start with the good

the car drives incredibly well. The design is beautiful. The interior is very comfortable and a step above Tesla in the luxury category. Yes the car is fast, but the increased range was the biggest selling point for me.
I have had a few issues, but honestly, I also had several issues with my new Tesla in the early days. So this is not unexpected. I will say that every issue I have had has been quickly and professionally addressed by lucid. Our local customer support here in PA has been incredibly responsive and their communication is better than anything I’ve ever experienced with an automotive company.
After 10,000 miles, my car had a drive system error. After diagnosis, lucid determined that the best course of action were a new set of batteries. My car was picked up, transported to a service all center and two weeks later returned to me. I also had the cabin heating module fail. Again, service came, Replaced the module in my driveway. And no problems sicnce.
As for range, find I get about 85% of stated range in warm conditions and about 65%in cold conditions. This is typical and indicative of my driving habits. My Tesla is no different. Yes the key fobs are annoying. But that will get fixed.
My only real complaint is with electrify America. We took our lucid in a four week drive to Florida. On several instances we encounter charging stations that did not work or worked very slowly. The newer chargers seem more reliable but this is something that definitely needs improving. Unfortunately this is not necessarily in Lucid’s control.
Overall I can’t really say enough good things about this car and the customer service. Being able to talk to a real person when you are having issues is huge. Good luck trying that with Tesla.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with the Air so far @davidc! Very helpful info for everyone. Have there been any other issues since the battery and heating module were replaced?
